Abstract:
TYPO3 version 4.3 introduced Extbase, TYPO3's new extension development framework. A backport of the MVC and persistence functionality from FLOW3

At MOC Systems we've been avid supporters of the FLOW3 ideas and approach to code architecture, and as soon as 4.3 was starting to look ready we started to base our new development on Extbase and Fluid.

Working with a brand new framework that has not been extensively tried out before has a lot of challenges.

In this talk we'll take a look at the problems we've encountered taking Extbase one step further than the blog example and show the solutions (and workarounds) that we came up with.

We'll have a look at using extbase domain models in the context of TCEforms, dispatching and executing code from ajax calls and CLI-scripts, handling multilanguage domain objects and much more, as well as taking a look at performance on live websites.
