Jeff Segars works as a developer on the Web-Empowered Church project and is a member of the TYPO3 Core Development Team where he holds the unofficial title of "Native English Speaker". He's been developing in TYPO3 full time since 2005, but actually discovered it as a bored college student somewhere around TYPO3 3.6.

Abstract:

Calendar Base is a powerful calendaring solution for TYPO3, built completely on the iCal standard for calendar events.  In this presentation, we'll focus on how the iCal standard makes it easy for Calendar Base to integrate with third party applications such as Google Calendar and Apple iCal.  In addition, we'll demonstrate how to use the TypoScript Service for Calendar Base to easily create calendar events from any table in TYPO3.
